The Big Move

The CHIC will be moving to a new building on the VA campus that is currently under construction. It will be a space that promotes research personnel collaboration, as well as quiet thinking areas. The design is a result of collaborative ideas from the CHIC that were gathered through emails and focus groups, as well as ideas from the engineering team.
Construction is projected to conclude by the end of fiscal year 2021 and the estimated 16,000 square foot building will serve as the new home to HSR&D. Future amenities of this building will include a reception area, interview, team, and conference rooms, and a kitchen. It is important to note that all parameters (including office and bathroom sizes) are set by federal regulations and building codes.
A new space just for research because we all know “there’s no place like home.”
