Fellowship Programs
The Center for Health Information and Communication (CHIC) is committed to the professional development of junior faculty and research fellows in VA funded postgraduate training programs in implementation science, system redesign and healthcare informatics. Our Center currently has three VA-funded fellowship programs including a Medical Informatics Fellowship, a Patient Safety Fellowship, and a Learning Health Systems Fellowship. Collectively, these programs can fund up to six fellows per year.
The CHIC's additional emphasis on fellowship recruitment, development and educational programming is bearing fruit. We have developed a fellows conference, requested additional opportunities to support qualified candidates and are interviewing candidates for our next class.
